Youth, also known as “The Harbor” is for 6th-12th graders. They meet during the service (10:00am) on Sunday mornings, with a program designed to help young people encounter Jesus and discover what it means to be a follower of Christ.
Youth
We want to break the stereotype that being a Christian is boring and outdated. Our time is designed to be fun for believers and welcoming to those who don’t normally attend Church. Beginning with a time of fellowship, we then transition into games, worship, and Bible study.
Our time spent in the Bible is focused on understanding God’s word and applying it to our lives. Small groups allow for students to go deeper into the Bible with a few leaders. Students are encouraged to ask questions, share experiences, and dig deeper into the challenges of living out a Christian faith. Ultimately, we want to be a group of youth who know and follow God, and are excited to tell our friends about Him.
Sunday mornings are a time of deepening relationships – among students, with leaders, and ultimately, with Christ. We are always ready to welcome new people, so please come and join us on Sunday mornings!
Children
The GraceCity Children’s Ministry offers a safe, nurturing and age-appropriate place for children to grow in their personal relationship with Christ and in community with others. Nursery care is provided during the service every Sunday for children from 6 months to 3 years old in the “Downtown” room. While in the nursery children will experience the presence of Christ through the love and attention of a caring adult meeting their physical and emotional needs.
For children 3 years through Pre-K age join us in the “Midtown” room. GraceCity offers a morning filled with fellowship, play and developmentally appropriate Christ-centered lessons to help children become rooted in the knowledge of God’s love.
Kindergartners through 5th-graders are provided a children’s church experience appropriate for their age, too! After arriving, they enjoy and experience worship in the big church with their families and then they transition to their own lesson in the “Uptown” room.
The goal each Sunday is to provide an opportunity for children to experience fellowship with our church family, corporately worship our one true God, hear God’s Word taught, and apply their faith to their own lives.
